Adopted by SFWA January 2015: SFWA reserves the right to revoke any Ladies Choice Award or other award of any kind presented from time to time by SFWA at its sole discretion for any reason initiated by an act taken by a recipient that in SFWA's sole opinion renders the award inappropriate, unjust, or otherwise no longer applicable for the intent of which the award was presented. Additionally, should it become known that the recipient has been confirmed to have engaged in conduct inconsistent with the terms of the award which were the basis of the intent of the award by SFWA, whether having been discovered by SFWA or brought to the attention of SFWA, notice will be provided as soon as reasonably possible to the recipient. Thereafter, should the award be revoked and the award not returned to SFWA according to the manner in which SFWA requests, SFWA will make a public announcement that the award has been revoked providing the reason the award was revoked. Prior to making a public announcement, SFWA will notify the recipient. The intention of any revocation of an award presented by SFWA is not to humiliate or otherwise harm the recipient, but to protect the integrity of the LADIES CHOICE AWARDS and any other awards presented by SFWA. If the revoked award is returned as directed by SFWA, there will not be a public announcement although reference to the revoked award will be removed from this site and no further advertisement of the revoked award will be permitted initiated by SFWA. To report a reason for revocation of an SFWA award, email us and provide valid contact information. Please understand that anonymous emails will not be considered.
